Episode VI: Building Mental Resilience Through Physical Fitness
Hey there, Mind Master,
How old were you when you connected the dots between your physical health and your mental health?
We all know exercise is important, but we only think of it usually in respect to the physical gains.
Let me tell you this:
I’ve never worked out to ‘bulk up’.
I work out for my mental health.
You see, when I sustained an active lifestyle for a couple of weeks I actually found myself getting out of the fatigue of adding extra physical exertion into my daily routine.
I eventually started to anticipate it, and even weirder, crave it.
This led me to realize a fundamental truth:
We’re meant to live an active lifestyle!
You don’t have to be a body builder to be active, and although there’s a level of magic in the stillness of meditation, exercise still has its place. I’m going to share a few supplements and a routine with you today that has helped me keep the benefits from exercise longer, faster, and with less pain.
In this edition of The Mind Master’s Memo, we’ll also explore how achieving your physical best can significantly impact your mental and emotional health.
Let’s dive in!
The peak of your potential is scaled by:
➠ daily habits
➠ acceptance
➠ perseveranceJust show up for yourself.

Fuel Your Mind & Body with the Right Supplements
Supplements can help you recover quicker, get more out of workout, and overall just a better experience. I’ve tested several supplements and these three simple products are my go-tos:
Omega-3 Fatty Acids: These are crucial for both mental and physical health. Omega-3s can reduce inflammation, support cardiovascular health, and boost cognitive function. Adding between 1 to 2 grams of high-quality Omega-3 fish oil daily improves mood and enhances recovery. Better mood and brainpower mean you’re ready to tackle anything life throws at you!
Creatine: Known for boosting muscle strength, creatine also enhances brain function. It’s considered a nootropic as well as a standard workout supplement. Creatine draws water to your muscles, and since your brain is a big muscle, it becomes supercharged and firing quicker, at least from my experience. A daily intake of 3-5 grams can support your training and cognitive performance. Think of it as brain fuel that also powers your workouts.
Rhodiola Rosea: This adaptogen helps manage stress, enhancing exercise performance and reducing fatigue. Taking 100-200 milligrams before workouts can help you push harder and maintain energy throughout the day. Managing stress is key for mental health, and Rhodiola Rosea can be a valuable tool for exactly that.
Remember, these supplements should complement a balanced diet, sleep, and training. Always check with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen. From my experience, these helped my performance and overall well-being, helping me become the best version of myself. Let me know if you try any of these!
Being successful is hard.
But not realizing your potential is worse.

The Power of the 3x5 Strength Protocol
Tried exercise but it didn’t really work for you? This scientifically backed strategy can revolutionize your fitness journey and boost your mental resilience.
Here’s how:
The 3x5 Protocol focuses on pure strength using lower reps with heavier weights.
3-5 repetitions (80% difficulty)
3-5 sets
3-5 minutes of rest in-between sets
3-5 times a week
The Transformative Benefits:
Skyrocketing Strength Gains: This protocol can lead to significant strength increases, enhancing muscle growth and endurance. Building physical strength often translates to mental fortitude and perseverence.
Unexpected Cardiovascular Improvements: Stronger muscles improve posture and efficiency, benefiting overall cardiovascular health. Did you know improved cardiovascular health contributes to better mental clarity and emotional stability?
Minimal Muscle Soreness: Lower rep ranges reduce muscle soreness, allowing for more consistent workouts without compromising recovery. Consistency is key to developing discipline and perseverance.
To implement this protocol, select key compound exercises targeting full body or specific muscle groups. Use weights heavy enough to challenge you near failure for three to five reps.
The 3x5 protocol is perfect if you want to get stronger without unnecessary bulk. It’s lifting smart. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a fitness beginner, this could be the game-changer you were looking for.
Focus on showing up consistently.
You will naturally get lucky.

Story with a Lesson: The Power of Perseverance
Let me share a story about a time I struggled with a new workout regimen…
The first few weeks were tough, and I was tempted to quit.
But I kept reminding myself of the goals I set and the vision I had for my health.
Slowly but surely, I started seeing progress—not just in my strength…
But in my overall energy and mood as well.
The lesson here?
Perseverance is key.
No matter how tough the journey gets, staying committed to your goals will yield results.
It’s the small, consistent efforts that lead to significant changes.
This journey taught me the importance of resilience, not just in fitness but in all areas of life.
So, keep pushing, stay focused, and trust yourself and the process!
99% of success comes from:
➠ Constantly showing up
➠ Not getting distracted
➠ Doing hard things
➠ Not giving upDon't make it more complicated.

As we wrap up this edition, think about how important it is setting yourself up for success. Zooming out even more, I realize that this all came from asking myself, “What one thing can I do that would make everything else easier or unneccessary?”
Well, it turns out living an active lifestyle is one of those things.
And you don’t have to exert as much force as Michael Phelps in the Olympics to get the results that once seemed far away for me. With the right supplements and a strategic strength training protocol, I found immense mental and emotional improvements in well-being. The real key is that it’s all about finding what works best for you and sticking with it.
Let’s grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient together.
Stay motivated, embrace the challenge, and enjoy the ride. Until next time!
Stay strong and mindful,
